I ran my clay through a cone six firing(overfired) and the results are amazing! It did slump but I can fix that! No cracks and I do not feel like it is going to crumble in my hands!

My studio is once again moving. This is hopefully my final leap home though. By the the 1st of January I too will have a fully functional home studio! look for pictures and updates! Holiday Treasures Exhibition & Sale

A gala opening night preview will kick off the McLean County Arts Center’s (MCAC) 35th Annual Holiday Treasures Exhibition and Sale. The event runs from November 11 through January 7, 2012 and features over 100 locally and nationally known artists exhibiting paintings, glass, fiber, photography, jewelry, wood, ceramics as well as handmade seasonal items.

The Holiday Treasure Opening Night Gala is on November 11, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and features wine, hors d’oeurvres and live music. Tickets for this opening night event are $40 and are available for purchase at the MCAC. Holiday Treasures will continue through January 7th in the Brandt & Armstrong Galleries and is free and open to the public during regular MCAC hours.

So please join us for this exciting opportunity to view and purchase a variety of fine artwork. Admission is free and open to the public after our opening gala.

the POLYGON art space located in La Scent Studio, at 201 1/2 North Main St in uptown normal,opened a couple of months ago and has been showing high caliber work. i jumped on board for a short term show opening wednesday october 26th from 5-8 and will be up until sunday october 30th. please come support the local artist showcase and you local perfumer!three of my works will be in this group show. any questions about the perfume studio, this show, future shows, or wanting to display in this space email brad @ polygonartspace@gmail.com.

Friday at 6p for the opening of our Second Anniversary Show. Great art, snacks/drinks, student show on the second floor (which includes work by Suzy Menne Kirkhoff) and kids activities. You can also see the murals in process by my friends Steven Lockwood, Penny Boedigheimer, Patty Davoust and others). Be sure to be there by 7p for the announcement of Best of Show.

I can not attend but if you can it would be great!

Fall Tiles 2006

The smaller tiles are all made up of three pieces, fired to cone 6 oxidation, and fired to cone 04 for the labels. The flattened box tile is made from a press mold and also fired at cone 6 oxidation. These were inspired by many talks with my friends and advisers.
